Angler Movement Arts Center was born out of the desire to create a multi-functioning studio that would provide new rehearsal space to the ever growing Philadelphia dance community and serve as a place for movement education to the neighboring communities.

About the Logo
Our logo comes from the deep sea Angler Fish who has the unique ability to create its own light. It is our mission to provide supportive, knowledgeable instruction in a welcoming and inspiring environment in which students can discover their own potential to shine.
Our Space
Originally a wide open industrial workshop known as FishTown Boat Works, the building was renovated into three unique rooms full of warmth, color and light. Set back off the street, you enter through a beautiful gateway and sculptural installation created by artist Andrew Jevremovic. As you walk down the long driveway surrounded by lush plantings, you leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and enter a space that is both peaceful and inspiring.
